The Israeli DJ
I’m an Israeli DJ, and Israeli music isn’t a themed add-on in my sets. It’s where I come from. I know the songs that make the whole room sing every word, the Mizrahi tracks that put the aunts and uncles on the floor, and the Hebrew classics that bring everyone together for the hora.
An Israeli crowd has its own energy, and I read it the way only someone from that world can. I know when to drop the next Israeli hit and when to blend it into house, Afro house, hip hop or top 40, so the floor never breaks and every generation stays with me until the last song.

Bukharian, Persian and Kavkazi music isn’t something I look up the week before your event. I play it the real way for the families who grew up on it, at weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and every kind of simcha.
I know the moment a Kavkazi crowd is ready for the lezginka, the Persian classics that pull everyone onto the floor, and the Bukharian favorites the whole family is waiting for. Then I carry that energy straight into Israeli hits and modern dance music, so the old and the new feel like one night.

I don’t just play other people’s records. I produce my own music and make my own remixes, edits and mashups, so my sets sound like me. That includes my own Israeli and Mizrahi blends with house and Afro house that you won’t hear anywhere else.
For weddings I can make custom edits for your entrance or first dance, built around the song you love and the moment you want. My original singles are out on Beatport on my label, Shanti Records, and you can find me on streaming as Shlomi Shanti.

How far in advance should I book?
Popular dates fill up, so reach out as early as you can. Send your date through the form and we'll confirm availability.
Can I make song requests?
Yes. Share must-play and do-not-play lists ahead of time, and requests are welcome on the night.
Do you provide sound and lighting?
Sound and event lighting packages are available. Ask about options when you inquire.
Which areas do you cover?
Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, all of Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), New Jersey, Miami and Los Angeles. I also travel for destination events anywhere in the world, including Israel.
